N.B.                        Pre 1942 the club was an adjunct of the Church of Christ in Fremantle. It disbanded as such in 1942 with the outbreak of World War II.

After the war Albert E.West ( ex Essandee cricket club who disbanded in 1942 and never resumed) and Jack Knox-Peden ( ex RANR cricket club who also disbanded and never resumed) combined forces to refound the Spartan Club.

Life Memberships were not awarded until 1950.

F&DMCA Life Memberships were transferred to the SMCA when the two associations merged in 1997.

  One of the hardest working committeemen in the history of the Club. Also a very tough competitor on
  the playing field as a wicket-keeper batsman, who also bowled.

  One of those rare breed who put in a lot of service on committee but never played a game. His house
  in White Gum Valley was the headquarters of the Club for over a decade.

  An outstanding clubman who could always be relied on when there was work to be done, especially with the
  Club's various fund raising activities. An outstanding cricketer with over 600 wickets and 5 Premierships.

  "collector of monies" over the years. Quality left arm opening bowler who played across all grades with distinction

  Awarded a Life Membership without serving time as a committee man. Has done a great deal in helping players
